Over time, everyone’s technology becomes outdated. The Togiak Natives Limited (TNL) team was in need of upgraded laptop computers with several types of software. TSC consultants Keegan Fritts and Andrey Maslov researched and recommended devices and programs that would fit the board’s needs.
Andrey conducted product research and sourced laptops by working from a list of TNL’s needs and making comparisons between several available models. The devices needed to have the following features:
Rugged/durable and able to be used outdoors
Windows operating system
Sufficient performance capabilities
Affordability
After rating each of these criteria for every model considered, Andrey recommended the Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga. Nine laptops were ordered and delivered, and Keegan and Andrey worked to set them up for each member of the TNL team. Email was set up and loaded, software was installed, and tutorials were planned for in-person training. Keegan then delivered the laptops in person to the TNL’s offices and conducted training with the TNL Board of Directors and staff.
